This edition of the newsletter has exciting news for both our undergraduate and graduate students. To start with, the turnout of internship placement continues to be very positive. New collaborations with other universities for the study abroad program were formed and our recruitment activities are increasing. The Internship & Career Development Center has been kept busy in the fall semester implementing these initiatives which have all turned out to be successful endeavors. In addition, the University of Dubai (UD) launched its Student Entrepreneurship and Innovation Club, which was established by the Universityís Center for Research and Consultancy with an objective to provide information, mentoring, and networking opportunities to students and alumni to nurture start ups and ideas to enhance their employment. So, a door is opened for you to turn your innovative idea into real project and make your business dream come true right here at UD while you are still studying. Do not lock away your creative thoughts, share them with your professors, they will guide you through the process of establishing a business. Besides, as part of our continuous efforts to prepare our graduate students for the challenging professional world and to prepare them as potential leaders for the global market, a series of career and leadership workshops are lined up to run through the academic year involving prominent guest speakers from top recruitment agencies and reputable organizations to create†a platform for students to network and engage in discussions about contemporary business topics and career related issues. Finally, as another Graduation Ceremony fast approaches here in UD, the Student and Alumni Affairs team want to wish all of you who are about to complete your studies the very best in the future.
