Dubai: Confucius Institute at University of Dubai celebrated on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, the second Confucius Institute Day and the 11th anniversary of the founding of Confucius Institute. The celebration event was attended by Dr. Eesa M Al Bastaki, President of University of Dubai together with the teachers and students, in addition to Chinese Students of CI and University of Dubai community. Chinese Chambers of Commerce and the local Chinese community participated in the event by sending congratulatory letters to CI and wished the event a success. Dr. Al Bastaki delivered a speech saying that ìUniversity of Dubai is proud to have CI as its main international partner to advance common cultures and reflect peace and cooperation among peoples. He congratulated Confucius Institute for its prominent role in advancing peace in the world.î Participants in the event enjoyed Lion Dance, Chinese Martial Arts, Tea Show, Chinese Calligraphy Experience and Chinese Drum Show.
