University of Dubai and Trakhees†Sign MoU to Offer Vocational Training for Pre-graduate Students

Dubai, February†24, 2016: University of Dubai has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Trakhees†Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation to develop human resource capabilities in Trakhees and offer vocational training for pre-graduation students in the university. The programmes will equip the students with the experience and skill sets to enable them to enter various work environments. The MoU will pave the way for professional training of staff by the University of Dubai while training and employment opportunities will be offered in Trakhees for the students of the University of Dubai, in addition to other activities related to human resources, leadership and creativity at work. The MoU was signed by Dr. Eesa M. Al Bastaki, President of University of Dubai, HE Omar Al Hamli, Executive Director Corporate Support of Trakhees†, Mohammed Abdullah Aljasmi and Professor Salem Mubarak Al Mansouri from Trakhees† Human Resources Management. On the occasion, Dr. Al Bastaki said the University of Dubai is proud of its close relationship with government institutions such as Trakhees. He said the university will choose the best coaches and advisers to contribute to the development of Trakheesí services and support it to sustain these services efficiently. Arif Obaid Al Dehail, Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Planning and Development ñ Trakhees, said the MoU will help integrate the largest number of students in the programmes and support the younger generation with practical skills before graduation. He added that the MoU is in line with the Trakhees strategy to attract Emirati college graduates to a suitable working environment. HE Omar Al Hamli said University of Dubai was chosen after a thorough search for an agency capable of training and development of human resource in Trakhees. He said Trakhees is keen to provide the best services to individuals and companies, and develop human resource capabilities to achieve success and sustainability.
