UD Board of Trustees Adopts the Name ìDubai Business Schoolî for Its College of Business Administration

University of Dubai (UD) Board of Trustees adopted the name ìDubai Business School,î for its College of Business Administration. The decision came during the Boardís meeting on May 30^th, 2016 at UDís new campus in the Academic City, Dubai. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Majid Hamad Al Shamsi, Chairman of University of Dubai Board of Trustees and Board Member of the Dubai Chamber, and attended by Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki, UD president, in addition to UD trustees, deans, and heads of departments. The meeting was focused at formulating UDís 10 strategic goals to be fulfilled in a 5-year plan and building on UDís strengths to transform it into one of the finest quality universities in the region. ìNaming the college Dubai Business School would definitely help us achieve our goals and establish a solid base for our future plans,î commented Mr. Shamsi. In his presentation, Dr. Al Bastaki uncovered the 5-year plan of UD and stated that ìthe name Dubai will brand our business school locally and internationally and help us establish Dubai as an international hub for education.î ìPeople are flocking to Dubai and UAE to live in peace and prosperity. Our job is to provide them with world class education,î Dr. Al Bastaki concluded. The Board of Trustees will hold future meetings in June to approve both UDís 5-year strategic and marketing plans.
