The Confucius Institute at the University of Dubai (CIUD) welcomed the University of Sharjah International Relations students who visited the UD campus on October 27, 2016 to observe the cultural communication between UAE and China. The Director of CIUD Dr. Liu Yanhui guided them through their visit around the campus and introduced them to the notion of ìenergy conservation campus, and intelligence campus.î The institute also held a ìwelcome ceremonyî where Miss Li Wuci, one of the Chinese teachers at CIUD, delivered a brief presentation about the history, culture, activities, major duties, scholarship program, study program, and teachers of CIUD. During the ceremony, CIUD prepared abundant cultural activities such as paper-cutting, Peking Opera mask painting, Chinese traditional toys, chopsticks game, and Chinese calligraphy. From those activities, students experienced the unique Chinese culture. UD President Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki joined the cultural activities and took group photos with the students.
