University of Dubai Honors More Than 50 Governmental and Private Organizations

DSC_6534 Student and Alumni Affairs Department at the University of Dubai (UD) organized Employerís Recognition Night on January 18th 2017 at UDís new campus in Dubai Academic City.   The event honored more than 50 public and private companies that provided continuous support to UD students by providing internship and job placements. The event also aimed at enhancing the good relations between UD and these organizations including many governmental entities.   During his welcome speech, UD President, Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki welcomed the honorees and thanked them for a great service to education. ìSocieties advance better when private and public organizations open their doors to university interns and fresh graduates as they are the best†source of human capacities at work place,î he said.   Director of Student and Alumni Affairs Department, Ms. Amina Al Marzak, recalled how The Internship and Career Development Center started at UD and how local and international organizations supported UDís internship program by hosting our students for their internship and investing the time, efforts and recourses of the company to train our students and help them be ready for the work world.   ìThese organizations provided internship and several employment opportunities to thousands of UD students who became highly recognized employees in private sectors and leaders in their perspective governmental jobs,î Ms. El Marzak said.   Furthermore, Executive Director HR & Corporate Services (National Bonds Corporation) Mr. Saif Ali AL Shehhi gave a testimonial as an employer who worked closely with UD students describing them as resilient, reliable and added value to any company they might join.   A UD graduate, Mr. Ramah Farache, gave another testimonial as an intern who became a Nestle employee. He serves now as a Business Analyst at Nestle Middle East. ìI urge UD students to take their internships seriously and use them as bridges to succeed in future,î Mr. Farache concluded.   The top awardees who won the Platinum Award for the number of internships provided included: Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Emirates NBD Bank, and Emirates Airlines. Golden awardees included: Dubai Chamber, Department of Economic Development, and Mawared Finance.
