In order to introduce the concept of a ëProfessional Certificationí to the HR Fraternity and highlight its importance at the workplace, the Center for Executive Development at the University of Dubai (CED-UD) organized on March 1st, 2017 a meeting for UD and SHRM representatives. During the meeting, two keynote speakers, Executive Director at SHRM in MENA Mr. Brad Boyson and Assistant Professor at UD Dr. Arun Prasad delivered presentations on the significance of earning SHRM Certification, which connects the professionals with real-time scenarios and examines their knowledge based on their experience in the field. It also tests how effectively your knowledge is implemented in a work setting. Being a part of SHRM community it gives an opportunity to the candidates to upgrade their competency by recertifying themselves every 3 years to be at par with the Global Industry practices. SHRMís professional certification is offered at UD as both parties have recently signed a MoU to guarantee mutual benefits and strengthen their relationship.
