187 Students Graduate this Year from University of Dubai

IMG_0193   Under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed binRashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, and in presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, the University of Dubai (UD) held its 14th Graduation Ceremony celebrating the success of its 187 students. The ceremony, which took place on April 30th, 2017 at Dubai World Trade Center, featured three keynote speakers; H.E. Majid Al Shamsi, Chairman of UD Board of Trustees, Khaled Mohammad, UD LLM Graduate, and Abdullah Amiri, UD BBA Graduate. At the end of the ceremony, UD President Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki officially granted the certificates and degrees to all graduates. More than 600 attendees showed up during the ceremony and supported the graduates with their live tweets, flowers, and special gifts. The ceremony was streamed live on radio stations and UDís social media accounts granting people from all the world the opportunity to witness a new batch of successful students officially marching toward a new phase of their lives. ìToday, we honor our 187 diligent students who are qualified to serve the country and reciprocate its favor,î said H.E. Al Shamsi. ìKnowledge is our key to success and education is our title that distinguishes us from others.î He added that the University of Dubai is determined to continue developing its academic curricula in line with the wise policies and leadership initiatives of the UAE in the education sector. It is therefore UDís responsibility to support intelligent learning and educational tourism and encourage its students to innovate as part of their knowledge-seeking mission.   Since its establishment, UD has reinforced its leading position among top quality universities in the UAE and worldwide by enhancing its Dubai Business School, College of Engineering and IT, and College of Laws graduate and undergraduate programs. Highlighting its slogan “local roots, global reach,î UD has taught and graduated more than 1500 local and international students.
