University of Dubai Signs MoU with Institute of Applied Technology

The University of Dubai (UD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Applied Technology to share experiences and support the education process for future generations. The agreement, which was recently signed, provides a series of joint educational services in the fields of university studies, graduate studies and academic vocational training in line with the UAEís leadership strategies. The MoU was signed by UD President Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki and the Director General of the Institute of Applied Technology Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Manan Al-Awar. As discussed by both parties during the MoU signing, this mutual agreement will develop a sophisticated framework of skills and competencies in the in the fields of consultation, research and education. Dr. Al Bastaki said that UD is proud to attract outstanding students who are continuously looking for high-quality educational institution such as the University of Dubai. He pointed out that the university will open new majors in the fields of computer and power engineering in addition to its electrical engineering with specialization in communications. ìThe university will grant special scholarships and discounts for students applying from the Institute because of the importance of this agreement and its focus on quality and excellence in education,î he added.
