In coordination with the University of Dubai’s (UD) Alumni Relations Office as well as its External and International Relations Office, Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), a partner institution, has organized two alumni events on Oct 28, 2021.
UD President Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki and Director of Student Services Haitham Al Maaini attended a gala event organized for RSM alumni in Dubai at the EXPO 2020 Dutch Pavilion. As the featured guest speaker at the event, Dr. Al Bastaki spoke about innovation and sustainability in addition to their role in bolstering the collaboration between UD and RSM through various activities.
Al Maaini met with RSM’s Student Services Manager Tom Blansjaar and discussed future activities involving students from both institutions.
The event was also attended by H.E. Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb, City of Rotterdam and H.E. Dr. Carel Richter, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, UAE.
Earlier on the same day, UD Provost and Chief Academic Officer Prof. Hussain Al Ahmad together with Director of the Internship and Career Development Center and Alumni Relations Office Amina El Marzak and Alumni Relations Executive Farah Al Shaibani welcomed RSM’s Alumni Relations Director Sue Martin and Alumni Relations Manager Meta Haag-Mikec to the University of Dubai’s sustainable and green campus.
A meeting took place in which they exchanged best alumni-relations practices and solutions that tackle alumni engagement, challenges, and avenues of cooperation between the Alumni Associations of both institutions. At the end of the meeting, they discussed the possible support of RSM alumni assigned in Dubai in terms of internship opportunities and career development for UD students.
