UD and Customs Institute of Uzbekistan Sign MoU to Develop Educational and Vocational Programs 

The University of Dubai (UD), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Customs Institute of State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan to collaborate on increasing the cooperation between both parties and to explore joint executive education programs for professional development.

Under this agreement, both parties will collaborate to improve the quality of vocational education by organizing joint entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives and conferences, developing executive education programs, arranging cultural and educational study abroad programs, providing assistance in international internships and career placement for students, as well as exchanging resources, students, staff and faculty members.

This agreement, which was facilitated with the help of DP World representatives HE Mahmoud Al Bastaki – DP World Chief Operating Officer and  Sarah Alsuweidi, was signed by Mr. Mavlonov, State Customs Committee Chairman, and Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki UD President.

A delegation accompanied Mr. Mavlonov on his visit to the University of Dubai.  Dr. Al Bastaki welcomed the delegation and provided a brief introduction about UD, its program, culture, mission and vision.

“Our main objective is to collaborate with the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan to enhance our research centers, offer joint consultancy services, exchange resources, and establish educational and scientific cooperation in the fields of customs administration that will mutually benefit both parties,” he added.
