A Graduation Ceremony at Um Al Quwain Emphasizes Role of Women in Entrepreneurship

7ba9b03e-cef6-4c18-b412-0bcbc84f3837   Under the patronage of Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, the University of Dubai (UD) and in collaboration with Citigroup organized on February 21st, 2017 a ìGraduation Ceremonyî for 19 female students who have completed their professional training sessions at UDís Center for Executive Development (CED). The ceremony, which was held at the rulerís Diwan in Umm Al Quwain,was attended by UD President Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki addition to a group of staff and faculty members. During the event, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the trainers of CED, representatives from Citigroup, and the top three students: Mona Mohammed bin Suef, Amina Matar, and Mariam Saeed Al Mualla. His Highness Sheikh Al Mualla expressed his gratitude and thanks to the efforts of people contributing to the success of the program, which is meant to encourage Emirati nationals and support their positive role in the UAE community. He also spoke about the quality of education at the University of Dubai and its high academic and professional training standards. Dr. Al Bastaki thanked his Highness Sheikh Al Mualla for his precious support after granting him an appreciation plaque. He also emphasized the significance of reinforcing the positive role of women within a society. Concluding his talk, Dr. Al Bastaki reaffirmed that UD is committed to developing human resources and assisting entrepreneurship programs which enhance the position of women within economic sectors.
