The Minister of State for Higher Education Affairs H.E. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul AlFalasi visited yesterday the University of Dubai (UD) to take a closer look at its new campus in Dubai Academic City. The visit came as part of a series of activities during the Gitex Technology Week 2016. UD President Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki welcomed H.E. Dr. Belhoul along with UD staff and faculty members and accompanied H.E. on a tour through the campus including Dubai Business School, the future building of the College of Engineering and IT, class rooms, library, labs, and conference halls. At the end of the visit, H.E. delivered a ìthank youî speech for Dr. Al Bastaki in specific and UD family in general for their warm welcomes and promising potentials to advance academic research, innovation, and quality education in the UAE. ìOur focus will continue to be on prioritizing and promoting quality education across all education sectors,î stated H.E. Dr. Belhoul. Dr. Al Bastaki welcomed H.E. on board, discussed with him the future of universities and education research centers in UAE, and highlighted the future strategic plans of UD. During the visit, a short video was screened listing the top 2015- 2016 achievements and accomplishments of UD departments, schools, and students.
