More Than 1,500 Students and Job Seekers Attend University of Dubai Job Fair

DSC_5415 DSC_5512 IMG_7841 Dubai, April 12, 2016: The University of Dubai (UD) organized a unique job fair with more than 1500 people attending the event. Students from University of Dubai in addition to other universities as well as other job seekers were interviewed by more than 40 government and private companies, including Dubai Tourism, Dubai Economic Council, Wasl, Apple, Canon, Sony, Accenture, Al Futtaim and others. Welcoming the participants, Dr. Eesa M. Al Bastaki, President of University of Dubai, stated that the University of Dubai Job Fair has organized as part of the universityís Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). He added: ìWe will continue with our academic and social contribution to our beloved country.î He also announced the creation of the Council of Happiness and Positivity at University of Dubai stating that UD is planting the seeds of happiness in the educational sector in view of the importance of the sector in creating the future. The event was open to other universities, and UD went further with its CSR initiative to provide free transportation for those who could not afford it.† The event also witnessed a live broadcast from Radio 4, featuring motivational talks highlighting positivity and hope. The number of job seekers and their keen interest to take up job opportunities in UAE exceeded the expectations of participating companies.
