Dubai, April 13, 2016: Nine Students Clubs exhibited diverse culture and dance performance in addition to delicious food from 3 to 10 pm. The event was held at UD new campus in Academic City and attended by several embassy counselors and students from other universities and schools. Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki, president of University of Dubai opened the ceremony with a motivational speech telling UD students that “finally our dream of having our own campus come true.” He added that the new campus has opened up many opportunities to initiate unique activities and events. Al Bastaki stated that University of Dubai is proud of its students and their diverse cultures and backgrounds. He urged students to keep learning and practicing tolerance and positivity. Ms. Amina El Marzak, Director of Student & Alumni Affairs thanked Students Union and Clubs for their relentless efforts to make the International Festival a successful event. The participating clubs were: Emirati Group, Iraqi Group, Lebanese Group, Palestinian Group, Syrian Group, Environmental Group, Egyptian Group and the Chinese Group.
