UD Participates in the GCC Smart Cities and Smart Governments Conference

DSC_0046 UD Director of IT and PhD scholar Mr. Nasser Al Muraqab delivered a presentation yesterday regarding the smart government implementations. The presentation was based on a research paper prepared by Mr. Al Muraqab and presented at the 22nd GCC smart cities and smart governments conference in Dubai. Al Muraqab presented his conceptual model that will facilitate in the future successful achievements of smart governments projects as well as benefit all smart cities projects. Following his presentation, Al Muraqab was called to be part of the panel discussions among distinguished speakers: ï Dr. Anna Dolidze (Deputy Minister of Defense of Georgia) ï Dr. Saif Aldeen (Director at Saudi Red Crescent Authority) ï Mr. Safder Nazir (Regional VP of Smart Cities and IOT, at HUWAWEI).

The panel was designed to enrich the discussions about future governments and smart cities for the next 5 years, and answer the audience questions, in addition to discuss main challenges and opportunities of the smart cities.
