The College of Laws at the University of Dubai (UD) in association with British Irish Commercial Bar Association is hosting the one-of-its-kind seminar ìUnited Arab Emirates as a World Centre for Arbitration,î on March 14th, 2017 at UD. Aiming at enabling stakeholders to discuss the strengths and future of the UAE as an international center for arbitration, the seminar is featuring a list of keynote and motivational guest speakers including: Chairman of the Dubai International Arbitration Centreís (DIAC) Board of Trustees Dr. Habib Al Mulla, Former Joint Chairman of the British Irish Commercial Bar Association, Arbitrator and Deputy High Court Judge, England David Casement QC, and the UK Chairman of the British Irish Commercial Bar Association Monye Anyadike-Danes QC. The seminar is going to tackle thought-provoking topics such as the structure and efficacy of arbitration law in the United Arab Emirates and the business case for the UAE as a regional and world center for arbitration.
